The Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) is a customer-oriented agency responsible for managing the
various business and workforce-related functions of state government. Under the direction of Governor Ron DeSantis and
DMS’ Executive Leadership Team, the agency oversees the real estate, procurement, human resources, group insurance,
retirement, technology, private prisons, fleet, and federal property assistance programs utilized throughout Florida’s state
government. DMS is relied upon to establish, maintain and improve the business processes used by state employees to
create a better, not bigger government. DMS facilitates the delivery of these programs and services and provides tools
and training to bolster the efficiency and effectiveness of the state’s workforce. It is against this backdrop that DMS
strives to demonstrate its motto, “We serve those who serve Florida.” Under the leadership of DMS Secretary Jonathan
Satter, DMS’ employees embody four pillars on a daily basis: lead by example, serve with excellence, create efficiencies,
and challenge the status quo.
Position responsibilities:
This position reports to the Information Technology section, which provides business automation and application
development solutions for a wide range of DMS business needs. The position calls for strong team involvement and an
ability to collaborate and work effectively with other analysts, content managers, developers, customers, and
management. The primary role of this position is to serve on the Technology Set team to provide content management
services and focus on process improvements.
Create and maintain SharePoint Office 365 out of the box apps or collaborative tools to include lists, document/form
libraries, discussion boards, surveys, calendars, the ribbon, webparts, workflows, infopath, etc., and seamlessly integrate
SharePoint with other Microsoft and third party products.
Perform content management tasks that require continuous learning and application of industry standard tools to
facilitate business requests which include, but are not limited to:
The complete Microsoft Office suite: Access, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, PowerBI, etc.
Google Analytics
SurveyMonkey
Adobe Acrobat Professional
eZPublish or other website content management systems
Bulk Email services
Power Apps
Flow
Power BI
Perform necessary triage, communication and completion of business requests through the team’s customer relations
management tool and/or other defined work management forums.
Work closely with other IT groups and customers to define the system design and user interface based on customer needs
and objectives.
Participate in all phases of the development and implementation process and may act as a project lead on special
projects.
Create and maintain technical documentation for systems support and provides appropriate application training to peers
and business unit appropriately.
Maintain all job related information secure and confidential in order to protect workplace information and to assure
confidentiality requirements are complied with.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to configure and maintain SharePoint components including collections, document libraries, lists, pages and web
parts.
Ability to give attention to detail, spot errors quickly and maintain focus when working on long tasks
Ability to provide general technology support and assistance for a broad range of business needs;
Strong analytical skills and experience to critique and document specific business automation requests and needs, make
recommendations for technical solutions, and participate in implementing or leading appropriate automation solutions;
Ability to write accurate and complete technical documentation;
Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work
flow and other activities relating to the improvement of business operations;
Proficiency in the full Microsoft Office Suite
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong team involvement and an ability to collaborate and work effectively with other analysts, content managers,
developers, customers, and management.
Ability to work independently
Ability to communicate effectively
Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible
amount of force constantly to move objects.

Minimum Qualifications:
H.S. diploma or equivalent
One year of web or IT application development.
