Select Laboratory Partners is seeking an individual that can lead the laboratory services in a High Complexity Testing Drug
and Pain Medication Monitoring Reference Laboratory. Can perform routine Laboratory duties utilizing established protocol
and procedures, which include specimen processing and able to conduct screening and confirmation Laboratory tests.
Excellent opportunity for an experienced lab tech to work in an autonomous capacity.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Process human samples for clinical toxicology testing. Primary operator of a liquid
chromatography tandem mass spectrometer and IR500 screening analyzer. Review and complete routine and non-routine
data verification before reporting. Recognize unusual and unacceptable specimens and handling appropriately. Interpret
raw data and confirm report results as the result of scientific testing and analysis on each sample within specified turn
around time. Adhere to Select Laboratory Partners quality control and quality assurance practices. Assures all records of
analyses performed are accurate and properly archived. Provides detailed customer consultation for physicians and other
health care professionals in regards to drug testing methods, drug metabolism and excretion. Always maintain the
laboratory in an inspection readiness status. Perform all preventative maintenance tasks, keep records of all instrumental
maintenance, schedule on-site service and repair any instrumental failures. Identify problems that may adversely effect
test performance or reporting of test results and correct the problem. Maintain an adequate inventory of laboratory
supplies. Conducts safe work practices according to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
MAJOR QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION, BACKGROUND, PRIOR EXPERIENCE,ECT): BS or MS in Science-related
field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, ect). Documentation of training in Shimadzu LC/MS/MS is plus. Documentation of training
and 3-5 years of experience in the field of clinical toxicology. Team oriented / flexible to work in group.
