This position is responsible for analytics, system administration, client support and inventory management program
management for the refinery warehouses.
Coordinates creation of new material masters (using database methodology) and inventory levels based on business
requirements and stockholding policy. Reviews and modifies the materials database to ensure correctness, consistency
and compliance with policy.
Works with client groups to plan materials requirements and ensure optimal utilization of stock.
Performs control activities to ensure that all material transactions in computerized control systems are consistent,
appropriate, and in adherence to policy. Performs review, corrections and adjustments to ensure control.
Reviews inventory to ensure optimal utilization across all requirements. Provides inventory reports for statistical and
content analysis by Material Control and customer groups. Develops key performance metrics to facilitate measurement
and continuous improvement initiatives.
Advises surplus and obsolete materials to other MPC areas for utilization and disposition. Liaison with Warehouse and
local Procurement personnel on disposition of excess, repairable items, material and equipment transfers and surplus
Supports Procurement group for inventory replenishment programs, blanket orders, and other supply agreements.
Coordinates control and compliance activities to ensure the integrity of inventory. Designs and leads continuous
improvement efforts related to inventory and data integrity
Manages and accounts for all MPC-owned material stored off site.
Maintains, creates and distributes appropriate activity reports as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.
Establishes and maintains effective methods of communication with all parties in the Supply Chain and customer groups
to create robust, sustainable relationships, discusses issues and implements improvements.
Ensures compliance with all required Marathon policy, procedures and guidance and all industry and legislative
requirements regarding materials activities.
May be responsible to lead small work teams focused on specific projects.
Provides guidance, support, training and development to other personnel, including customer groups.
Demonstrates strong process and system literacy. Able to identify issues, develop alternatives, execute, and track results.
High School Diploma, College Degree Preferred
Experience with the full suite of Microsoft Office software
Experience with the MM and MRP modules of SAP, familiarity with Master Data and Inventory Management tools and
3 or more years data analytics, warehouse management, or another role supporting inventory replenishment
