Job Title: Service Truck Technician/Tire Technician
Job Location: Milford, NE
Farmers Cooperative is a full service cooperative with products and services offered in energy, grain, feed, agronomy, and
tire departments. We are an aggressive company always looking towards the future and trying to bring more
opportunities, markets, and abilities to our local producers. There are 60 locations serving southeast Nebraska and
northeast Kansas with our main office located in Dorchester, NE.
A Day in the Life:
As a Service Truck Technician most of your work will be done on customer’s farms, but some work will be done at the
service station you work out of. So you will need to be able to work in diverse conditions. You will be expected to install
new tires, repair tires, install wheels, and do tractor conversions all on and off the farm. As a Service Truck Technician you
have to be very mechanically inclined as you will be working on vehicles and farm equipment all day. This is a physically
demanding job as you will be bending, lifting heavy objects, kneeling, prying, pulling, and pushing heavy objects. You will
also be out and about on the roads all day so safe driving practices is a must. Safety is always our number one priority
and we do everything we can to ensure the safest work environments for our employees, therefore you will be required
and expected to adhere to all safety rules and regulations. You will be interacting a lot with customers on their farm so
you must have good customer service skills and be able to talk to them about their vehicle or piece of equipment. This is
a skilled position requiring an individual who doesn’t mind getting dirty, works hard, pays attention to detail, and has a
good work ethic.
The Cooperative operates under the "all hands-on deck" philosophy when it comes to getting things done. Therefore,
employees are required to perform all other duties as directed by the supervisor.
What You’ll Need to Do This Job:
A high school diploma and/or equivalent.
Must know how to run the crane and hydraulic equipment on the truck (training provided)
Computer skills
Mechanically inclined
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be responsible
Good attitude
Good work ethic
Customer service oriented
Outgoing personality
The ability to think clearly and problem solve
The desire to be involved in agriculture and work for a cooperative
This is a physically demanding job. You must be able to bend, kneel, pry, pull, push, and lift heavyobjects. You must be
able to lift 75 pounds regularly
