Quality Control/Assurance Manager
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring that the work area is conducive for a safe and healthy work
environment. Ensure that we hire/train/supervise a superior group of employees. Coordinate the quality assurance
activities of the plant. Ensuring that we are sending out products that meet the company quality standards and the
customer’s expectations. Provide the necessary direction and supervision for a dynamic and changing environment which
requires quick thinking when problems arise. Maintain cost control over operational spending. Foster an environment of
continuous improvement and pride of ownership. Support the site management to ensure the achievement of the
organizations business goals. Back up for QA Manager in absentee/travel will be VP of Operations / Site Manager.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for your employees.
Foster a team atmosphere for great performance and synergy in the work group.
Manage the quality assurance system to ensure that food safety product being manufactured and shipped meets the
quality standards and customer’s expectations.
Draft and establish procedures and practices to support the aforementioned.
Serve as the designated document controller to ensure proper document management and record keeping.
Shall coordinate Annual Management Review Meetings.
Coordinate with certifying bodies and represent site during certifications or audits.
Promote awareness of customer requirements within the organization.
Maintain our product integrity records and retains to meet or exceed the requirements of our customers and 3rd party
Communicate to the top management on Quality System issues, non-conformities & Audit reports
Maintain the data bases for quality, product integrity, and production records.
Generate reports as needed on the performance of the aforementioned.
Lead the team during any 3rd party audit.
Maintain good working relationships with others within the organization.
Provide support to other site disciplines to achieve common business goals.
Maintain a clean and pride of ownership operation.
Maintain good communication on pertinent/important matters with all in the organization.
Ensure compliance to all company policies, procedures, food safety requirements, safety standards and government laws.
Work with other WNA quality control/assurance managers on project development and continuous improvement.
Assist the other on site managers with support as may be needed.
Assist the VP with projects.
Assist the VP to investigate opportunities for improvement.
Lead the site team with 3rd party compliance.
The Quality Control/Assurance Manager must be highly skilled in supporting a manufacturing operation.
Should have good math, statistics, and communication skills and work well with others in the whole organization.
Strong computer skills are needed to work with multiple systems.
Must be comfortable working in a factory, warehouse, and office setting.
The Quality Control/Assurance Manager should have at least 5 years experience in quality/manufacturing supervision or
The Quality Control/Assurance Manager should have the abilities and skill base equivalent or better than that expected
from a college graduate with an Associate’s Degree. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent skill base is preferred.
Following GMP in compliance with all food safety requirements.
