The Air Force Acquisition training Office (AFATO) is seeking technical expertise to complement the existing civilian work
force that comprises the current ACMS team. This technical expertise will assist with web/software development,
system/database administration tasks and cybersecurity services. We Will provide the technical expertise in the areas of
web/software development, system/database administration and cybersecurity for all current and future ACMS
information technology initiatives. Activities consist of analysis, design, documenting, developing and maintaining public
and private websites and web-based information systems, assisting in the management and administration of operating
systems and relational databases and assisting in cybersecurity and information security requirements.

The contractor shall perform system/database administration activities that maintain current or extend ACMS functional
capabilities, as set by AFATO’s priorities. All specifications for new/modified functional capabilities will be provided to the
contractor in writing (email is acceptable).
The contractor shall review specifications to ensure a high-level of understanding on each specification and work with the
AFATO on any clarifications and edits that are required to obtain this high-level of understanding on each specification.
Agreed to final specifications between AFATO and contractor for new/modified functional capabilities shall be developed
and tested or applied to systems/databases and documented by the contractor per AFATO accepted configuration
The Contractor shall ensure that personnel performing system/database activities obtain, and remain current with,
required technical and/or management certifications IAW DoD 8570-01.M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement
Program and AFMAN 17-1303, Cybersecurity Workforce Improvement Program, March 2015, IAT Level II.
The contractor shall perform system/database administration tasks related to installation, configuration, security
hardening, patching and tuning of Linux operating systems and Oracle databases/instances.
The contractor will use existing technologies to include Shell, SQL, PL/SQL and other Linux and Oracle utilities and
packages. System and database assets will consist of Development, Test, Pre-Production, and Production enclaves.
System and Database assets can reside in the AFPOA data center at Randolph AFB, SAF/AQH’s offices, and in the A1
Virtual Data Center (VDC) in the Amazon Web Services data centers.
The contractor shall ensure that all system and database administration services comply with the Defense Information
Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Computer Network Defense (CND), which
includes the need for source code scanning and Web Penetration Testing.
The contractor shall adhere to AFATO configuration management processes for system/database administration
component/package promotion through development and test enclaves and deployment into production as well as
The contractor shall provide a candidate that has a minimum of 5 years of experience as a System/Database
Administrator with the following skills: Qualifications
Education and Experience:
IAT Level II Certification, such as Security +.
Bachelor’s degree required; BS in Computer Science or related.
Experience managing and administering Linux operating systems and Oracle databases/instances.
Experience programming in the following languages: Shell, SQL, PL/SQL and working with other Linux and Oracle utilities
Experience managing and administering web application servers, such as Apache Tomcat.
Experience administering BIF Technologies Insight server components.
Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills to solve challenging problems.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Clearance: Secret clearance due to access to the A1 VDC.
