Company Description
Looking to hire a Marketing Assistant who will be working closely with their Marketing Team to develop and implement
marketing plans and strategies for the organization.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $15-18/hr
16 – 24 hrs/wk in Branchburg, NJ
Position Overview: To be chosen for this role, you must be a recent graduate with a degree in marketing, business, or a
related field. Prior work experience in administration, sales, or marketing is a plus. Effective written and verbal
communication skills and a high level of attention to detail are both important keys to succeed in this role. Job Description
Responsibilities of the Marketing Assistant:
Collaborating with the marketing manager, internal teams on marketing strategy
Working closely with sales and marketing department
Creating marketing materials such as white papers, case studies, and presentations
Maintaining a marketing database
Providing administrative support to the marketing and sales team
Preparing, formatting and editing a range of documents
Handling general office duties
Creating and interpreting a variety of reports
Other Administrative Duties, as assigned
Writing, proofing, and editing copy for various marketing outputs including, but not limited to: Press-releases, web content,
social media content, and collateral copy
Assist in managing and maintaining web content
Creating, managing, and maintaining social media content
Assistance in the implementation of communications strategies
Assist in tracking analytics of the communication efforts of the company
Prepare presentations and reports on company’s media growth
Create promotional strategies for the department, with an emphasis on consistency of message and brand development
Seek avenues for increasing visibility within the local area, state, and region Qualifications
Qualifications for the Marketing Assistant:
1-2 years Marketing experience is ideal, but will also consider candidates with strong Marketing internships
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle confidential materials with the utmost discretion, integrity and diplomacy
Flexible, positive attitude and willingness to learn
Microsoft Office/Suite proficient (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Acrobat)
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Ability to multi-task effectively AND EFFCIENTLY in a fast-paced
environment. Strong communication and organizational skills. Competent keyboarding.
Technical Competencies:
Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Acrobat)
Ability to self-motivate with little or no supervision
Strong attention to detail
Solid editing and researching skills
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to manage long and short-term projects
Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
