Candidates living in the Fairbanks North Star Borough, Delta and Tok regions will be given first consideration.
Northern Star Resources Limited is a global-scale ASX 100 gold production and exploration company with a Mineral
Resource base of 20.5 million ounces and Ore Reserves of 4 million ounces located in highly prospective and low sovereign
risk regions of Western Australia, Northern Territory and North America. This large inventory means it now has 10 years of
mine life visibility ensuring Northern Star has a long future based on its Tier-1 operations of Kalgoorlie, Jundee and Alaska.
We are looking for Graduate Mine Engineers to join our Pogo Operation in Alaska working a 14 days on/ 7 days off roster
during the first year.During the 2nd year of this program, you will work an alternating 8 days on/ 6 days off and 4 days on,
3 days off rosters.
Competitive wages, quarterly Gold Bonus, monthly Safety Bonus, Medical, Dental, Long Term Disability, 401(k), sick &

$19.80/hrplus Alaska overtime whilst working underground on a 14/7 roster.
$80,000/yr whilst working on the surface (2nd year) on an alternating 8 days on/ 6 days off and 4 days on/ 3 days off
The Graduate Mine Engineering Program is a multi-discipline 2-year program which ensures that individuals understand
core underground mining work activities and the Northern Star operational model. Training is divided into two sections;
general underground operations and mine engineering discipline specific components. Graduates who successfully
complete Northern Star’s graduate program will have the opportunity to become mine engineers with a possible career
path as future department managers and technical experts for not only Northern Star, but the wider mining industry.
Working a rotating schedule and alternating days and nights, up to 12 hours a day or more at a remote campsite. Extreme
conditions, including but not limited to changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise from low to high
decibels, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light and in a confined work area.
Employees are required to stay on site at the company provided camp during the work rotation. Camp facilities provide
dining service, games room, exercise & weight room, sauna, and accommodation rooms. Dormitory rooms have a land line
phone, internet & cable tv programs. Cell service is available when using Wi-Fi. The Company provides a bus service to and
from Fairbanks, Delta Junction and Tok, Alaska.
Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mine Engineering from an accredited college or university is required.
Willing and able to work as an entry level miner underground for approximately one (1) year within a two (2) year period.
Then transition to a Mine Engineer duties full time on the surface. This general schedule is subject to change to
accommodate Underground and Engineering personnel needs within organizational structure.
During the 2nd year, must be willing to reside in the Fairbanks/North Star Borough after the first year of Graduate program
is completed.
