Facilities/IT Support Assistant

Position: IT Assistant Salary: $12.00 per hour Type: Full Time Location: Fresno, CA
Facilities Maintenance:
May assists Maintenance Manager in the repair and/or installation of various items, systems and/or components as may
be required (e.g. broken windows, roofs, building structures, floors, hand rails, stairs, lighting systems, HVAC units,
electrical units/service.)
May assists with painting tasks as directed by the manager for the purpose of maintaining attractive facilities and
minimizing damage.
May cleans and performs minor repairs of gutters, drains and scuppers for the purpose of maintaining operation and
adequate drainage.
May assist the manager in installing system components parts on property and facility components as may be required
for the purpose of maintaining facilities in a safe, comfortable and operating condition.
Maintains tools and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition.
Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
Responsible for locks and door closers, keys, electrical plugs, lighting, A/C, filters, plumbing, leaks and repairs.
Cleans armadas, patios, and sidewalks and picks up leaves and litter
May assist with landscaping needs as requested.
Enforces safety regulations at the work site
Coordinates equipment and materials to work site.
Provides assistance in the use of personal computer hardware, software, and specialized mainframe technology.
Installs software and installs and repairs hardware and peripherals.
Transfers computer files between platforms.
Provides basic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for computer equipment (e.g., microcomputers, disk drives,
printers) and may assist with testing computers and peripherals on a network with the support of an outside vendor to
diagnose hardware and software problems.
Acts as a liaison for the computing operations, communicating, resolving and/or initiating the resolution of problems and
Maintains records.
Contributes to department goals by accomplishing related duties as required.
Receive repair orders from mechanics and parts staff.
Verify that repair orders are complete and calculate total work hours. If clarification is needed, locate responsible
mechanic and confirm information.
Ensure accuracy of entries
File handwritten repair orders in filing system.
Maintain filing system of repair orders, eliminating repair orders exceeding time guidelines.
Qualification Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. At least 4 months of related experience with
computers and providing customer service in a technological environment. May require the knowledge of a variety of
hardware as well as software, programming languages, and operating systems.
Minimum Requirements: Skills are required to perform multiple, non-technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade
skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job
include: operating equipment used in skill trades, power and hand tools, etc.; adhering to safety practices; handling
hazardous materials. Knowledge is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents,
and/or ratios; read and follow instructions and understand multi-step written and oral instructions.
$12/hour with benefits after 90 days of employment.
