Sales and Marketing Director
Position: Marketing Director
Salary: $60,000-80,000 per year

The Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for planning and implementing sales, marketing and product
development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the
following duties personally or through subordinates. The ideal candidate will be focused on growth strategies aligned
with developing new prospects and business opportunities, as well as implementing the sales techniques to meet growth
Develops strategic annual marketing and sales plans, implementing strategies and objectives.
Develops and manages sales/marketing operating budgets and forecasts. Monitors budget by comparing and analyzing
actual results with plans and forecasts.
Implement business development plans targeted to increase enrollments in offerings, retention of current clients, and
the number of new clients, through strategic sales techniques and prospecting.
Implement an inbound marketing and lead generation pipeline, successfully converting leads into clients utilizing a CRM
software system for tracking and data analysis.
Conduct market research and prepare analytical and narrative reports regarding strategies to achieve objectives as set
forth in annual marketing plan.
Track vital statistics and report metrics on marketing and sales activities, effectiveness, and business impact.
Analyze marketing and sales data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization.
Identify and provide solutions to increase customer service levels substantiated by data, surveys, and trends.
Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
Develops and recommends product positioning and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market
Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.
Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing
objectives falls within designated budgets.
Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive
Monitors competitor services, sales, and marketing activities.
Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management.
Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
Directs training and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.
Directs market channel development activity by establishing sales quotas and goals.
Represents company at events to promote services.
Meets with key clients, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing sales.
Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
Prepares sales report showing sales volumes, potential sales, and areas of proposed client-base expansion.
Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, goals, and plans to determine effectiveness.
Directs product research and development.
Experience with a membership and event based organization in the Health and Wellness Industry.
Bachelor’s degree in related field of Marketing or Advertising and Sales required.
Minimum ten (10) years professional experience in B2C marketing and direct sales.
Advanced experience with CRM software and sales pipelines.
Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions.
Advanced computer skills and experience with the following business software systems: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word,
PowerPoint) and Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop).
Exceptional organizational skills.
This position has supervisory responsibilities for the Marketing Department and is indirectly responsible for sales activities
of all sales-oriented staff.

Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. This position regularly
requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
